Search engine Optimization – not a way of fooling the search engines, rather working together with them

Some company owners believe that Online Marketing is all about tricking the search engines to send more searchers to a particular website. In some cases companies will offer this very package. Guaranteeing to increase your visitor numbers considerably but using unscrupulous processes to do it.
Clearly this type of performance is very short sighted. Once a browser has been tricked to a site which just does not offer information on the keywords he had used, his next move will simply be to go “back” to the search listings. He will be slightly aggrevated at the search engine for putting the option forward and in essence the website business gains nothing apart from a useless hit, the search engine has it’s standing dented and the searcher tries over.
The only benefit here is maybe to the unethical optimizer (seo) who has possibly fixed his customer in to costs based on an increase in website hits. Despite this financial gain, operating in this manner is still not good for long term business. The search engine companies do not like having their standing injured and so are constantly developing their product to deal with unethical methods. This means that the unethical seo has to constantly come up with new scams to keep ahead of them. Also the business itself will soon recognise that although it’s hits have gone up there has been no affect on sales.
In actual fact just as much exertion needs to go into these unethical methods as is required to do the role buy the book, assuming the skills are recognised. It really is quite uncomplicated; the searcher wants to find what he is searching for; the search engine wants to show the searcher a choice of websites providing what he is looking for; the company wants to be found by people searching for his products or services. So the ethical seo will understand how people search for his clients services and then make sure that these keywords are clear to the search engines. By doing this all businesses in the process and satisfied and positive business is conducted.
